How to buy from Japan

Buying a car from us takes six simple steps.

  1. 1

    Find your car

Search our stock or send us the model you want — we can also buy it for you at a Japanese auction.

  2. 2

    Get a quotation

Send the stock ID and your destination port. We reply with the FOB price, freight and a full C&F / CIF total.

  3. 3

    Reserve & invoice

We reserve the car in your name and send a proforma invoice with our bank details.

  4. 4

    Pay by bank transfer

Pay by TT (telegraphic transfer). Send us the remittance slip so we can confirm payment quickly. Our bank details are on the Payment page.

  5. 5

    Shipping

We book RoRo or container shipping, handle export inspection and deregistration, and send you the B/L number.

  6. 6

    Documents & delivery

Original export documents go to you by courier (DHL / FedEx). Clear the car at your port and drive away.

Frequently asked questions

What does FOB, C&F and CIF mean?

FOB is the price of the car delivered to the ship in Japan. C&F adds ocean freight to your port. CIF adds marine insurance on top of C&F.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer (TT) to our company account in Japan, using the proforma invoice we send. Please send us a copy of the remittance slip.

RoRo or container?

RoRo is usually cheaper for single cars. Containers are better for several cars, parts, or destinations RoRo doesn't serve. We'll quote both where possible.

When do I get the documents?

After the car ships we send the original Bill of Lading, export certificate and invoice by courier (DHL / FedEx) and give you the tracking number.

Can you find a car that isn't in your stock?

Yes. Tell us the model, year, mileage and budget — we buy at Japanese auctions every day.
